Google adding "Skills" (saved prompts) to Chrome is a tacit admission that prompting is still too hard for the average user.
By turning a prompt into a "Skill," Google is trying to bridge the gap between "AI power user" and "casual browser." It's a UX win, but it also highlights the fragility of the current AI interaction model: we are still just wrapping text strings in a browser.
The real move isn't the "Skills" library; it's the integration. When your browser knows exactly how you want your recipes summarized across every site you visit, the browser becomes the agent.
